Dear Aspire Families
I hope you all had a restful and enjoyable winter break. I’m reaching out to share some important news about Miss Melissa, co-owner of Aspire Dance Center. Over the break, she was diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), which is an early stage (stage 0) breast cancer. While DCIS is a serious condition, it is non-life-threatening and was thankfully caught early.
Miss Melissa is determined to continue teaching with the same passion and dedication she has always brought to the studio. Her commitment to our dancers remains steadfast, and she plans to be in the studio as much as her health permits. She has upcoming appointments to finalize her treatment plan and will communicate any planned absences to students in advance whenever possible. That said, there may be times when her absence is unavoidable or unplanned.
Our top priority is maintaining the supportive and consistent environment that makes Aspire Dance Center so special. Whether Miss Melissa or a substitute is leading the class, our goal is to uphold the same culture, routine, and high expectations for our students.
We value open communication and are here to address any questions or concerns you or your dancer may have during this time. Please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Thank you for your understanding and support as we navigate this together.
Warm regards,
Mandy Griffin
Co-Owner
Aspire Dance Center
